Announcing the 2022 Canadian Game Awards and Canadian Indie Game Awards hosts

In the lead-up to the 2022 Canadian Game Awards and Canadian Indie Game Awards, we’re delighted to announce our two esteemed hosts for the shows.

This year, we’re pleased to announce that TSN’s Marissa Roberto will host the Canadian Game Awards. Serving as host for the inaugural Canadian Indie Game Awards is Camille Salazar-Hadaway.

Marissa Roberto hails from Saskatchewan and is a long-time host and personality. Currently, Roberto is the host of TSN’s Digital SportsCentre. Over the years, Roberto has made a positive impact in the Canadian digital media industry and is a gaming aficionado. Roberto built a name in the gaming industry through hosting and producing content for Electric Playground and Reviews on the Run. On top of that, she has been an integral voice of Xbox All for One, SQUAD, HUD, and more. Throughout her career, Roberto has been working toward making gaming more inclusive by advocating for women in the industry.

Camille Salazar-Hadaway is a host and producer for esports and gaming TV shows. Her love for video games started when her parents introduced her to Street Fighter II and Super Mario World. Instantly hooked, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in gaming, and got her start writing for a blog. From there, equipped with a camera and mic, she attended industry events and created content on YouTube. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, Salazar-Hadaway continues to work with notable brands in gaming and host tournaments, including Mortal Kombat Klash, the Canadian stop in the 2019/2020 Mortal Kombat 11 Pro Kompetiton. Salazar-Hadaway enjoys geeking out with various communities in the industry and is passionate about sharing their stories with others.
