Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek is a Canadian streamer and content creator, and a former CS:GO esports pro. He is recognized as one of the best FPS players in the world, as is currently one of Twitch’s most popular streamers.
The Mississauga native was raised around computers where is father loved to build computers. Michael began first streaming in 2011. It was Shroud’s run during the ESL Pro League season in 2015 where his popularity took off. He was rapidly developing the reputation as the best player in all of NA Counter Strike. At the ESL Pro League Season 1 Finals, Cloud finished 2nd after winning the North American finals.
It was during this success as a professional CS:GO player where Shroud saw his streaming numbers grow to unfathomable numbers. In 2017, he decided to retire and focus purely on streaming on Twitch & content creation.
With just over 6.6 million subscribers on YouTube and 8.7 million followers on Twitch, Grzesiek’s success as a content creator is truly remarkable.
